Beautifully written book by a gifted author.
The secondary characters were strong support No age limit on finding love. The story about women in their mid 40s and late 50s was refreshing. If you like soppy romance you can’t help but love this story. This book so good that I had to read it twice It was funny, emotional and has a HEA - what more can you ask for in a book. |

A good balance of love family and heartache but love wins in the end Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book making me laugh and cry. ...did an amazing job in showing the healing mind, body, and soul, plus a relationship that was almost destroyed. Gosh this was a hard read, but I did enjoy it |
Deliverance
This combined lesbian romance and science-fiction tells the story of a group of pioneers who disappear from Earth during the catastrophe and colonise the planet Sythia.
Earth, 2495. Earth had settled on other planets in this and the neighbouring solar systems. Most of the planets minerals on the home planet had been depleted. A terrible catastrophe had forced the privileged administration to rule with an iron fist. Archaic rules were put in place forbidding women an education and all unseemly behaviour severely punished. All the satellite planets were under Earth control. All, that is, except one. The pioneers struggle to build a world safe for both women and men. To live their lives as and how they wish, away from the tyranny and brutality of Earth. How will they react when their idyll is finally disturbed. Would planet Sythia survive? |

Fresh ideas and a nice writing style.
What can I say other than "awesome book"!!! made me think more deeply about how the way we have organised our society and `allow` people to be different. By the end I was throwing up my hands in happiness saying, “finally! She GOT IT!” |
My Bristol: The History andThe Culture

The Romans that passed through the area and the Saxon founders of the Place of the Bridge would not recognise the City and County, Bristol has grown into. The prosperity that came with its industry, trade and maritime exploits, made Bristol into one of the wealthiest cities in the UK. The varying terrain and geology gave rise to flora and architecture unique to the city. It has given features such as the Avon Gorge, which splits the City between Gloucestershire to the north and Somersetshire to the south, the nearby Cotswold and Mendip escarpments, and the gentle rolling scenery.
The motto of the city is "Virtute et industria." meaning valour and industry, and this can be seen today by being a large cosmopolitan, diverse city; bustling with industry, arts, culture, music, adventure, sports and festivals. Many firsts have occurred here, from the first commercially successful brassmills, the first iron ship and the first supersonic aeroplane, through to the first president of a human rights organisation, the first paperback book press, the first British chocolatier and many, many more. Packed with photographs and diagrams, this book will be a revelation to locals and visitors alike, an ideal reminder of this interesting and beautiful City. |
If you are visiting Bristol for a few days, this book will help you find the best places to see or if you live in or near Bristol there are lots of things to see that aren't on the usual tourist trail.
